2017 Japan Project

Begins 9/10/2017!

For 7 weeks this September/October, I will be posting weekly videos on the daily life and culture in Komoro, Japan, a rural area near to the city of Nagano. This video blog will be completely free to view, and is intended to promote cultural education and exchange! Video topics will include local customs, cuisine, language, shrines and temples, and the arts. I will also be taking video everywhere from local schools to department stores and small roadside shrines in an attempt to show viewers what everday life in Japan — full of the familiar juxtaposed with the completely unfamiliar — is like.

Schools in the Berks, PA, region in particular are invited to follow this video blog: upon my return, I am hoping to visit schools that followed the blog to speak to students in greater depth about Japan and my travels, and to answer student questions.
